· Practiced all aspects of traditional labor law (NLRA, LMRA, ALRA, contract negotiations and administration, arbitration, and Section 301/DFR suits) and employment law, with an emphasis on wrongful discharge, discrimination, and other employment claims from their inception through trial or arbitration and appeal; counseled on a wide range of labor and employment topics, including non-discriminatory employment policies and practices, mediation and arbitration policies, workforce reductions, acquisition, merger and disposition planning, and substance abuse policies, to name a few, and conducted anti-harassment training and briefings on those and many other employment law topics

· Litigated and tried employment disputes, including discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, common law claims, unfair competition/trade secrets/restrictive covenants, and employee benefits. Tried cases to defense jury verdicts, state and federal court. Defended hundreds of employment discrimination and wrongful discharge cases resolved on dispositive motion, in arbitration, or by settlement before trial, either bilaterally or in mediation.

· Industry experience included financial services (banks, broker-dealers, and insurers), health care, pharmaceuticals, communications, computer software and peripherals, trucking, railroad, airline, container freight shipping, manufacturing, retail sales, warehousing, agriculture, industrial chemicals and gases, defense and consumer electronics, secondary and higher education, staffing, publishing, professional service organizations, and amusement parks.
